New President for the Dunedin RSA AT THE 96TH ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING OF THE DUNEDIN RETURNED & SERVICES ASSOCIATION, HELD ON WEDNESDAY 28 MARCH 2012, DETECTIVE JENEPHER GLOVER WAS ELECTED AS THE NEW PRESIDENT OF THE DUNEDIN RETURNED & SERVICES’ ASSOCIATION.

DET GLOVER, A PAST PRESIDENT ( 2008 & 2009), HAS BEEN A MEMBER OF THE NEW ZEALAND POLICE FOR 32 YEARS, AND HAS SEEN SERVICE IN THE SOLOMON ISLANDS AND WITH THE UNITED NATIONS IN TIMOR LESTE.

MS GLOVER WAS BORN AND EDUCATED IN DUNEDIN AND HAS STRONG LINKS WITH THE COMMUNITY. SHE IS COMMITTED TO THE RETURNED & SERVICES ASSN AND ITS VALUES AND ETHOS. HER VISION IS TO INCREASE THE MEMBERSHIP OF THE DUNEDIN RSA AND BE RESPONSIVE TO THE NEEDS OF ALL THE MEMBERSHIP, YOUNG AND OLD, RETIRED AND SERVING SERVICE PERSONNEL AND THEIR FAMILIES, AND TO ASSOCIATE MEMBERS.

MS GLOVER APPRECIATES THAT THE DUNEDIN RSA FACES SOME SPECIAL CHALLENGES IN THE MONTHS AHEAD AND IS STEADFAST IN HER BELIEF THAT THE DUNEDIN RSA WILL CONTINUE TO NURTURE THE TRADITIONS OF FELLOWSHIP, CAMARADERIE AND SUPPORT THAT IS UNIQUE TO THE RSA CULTURE FOR PRESENT AND FUTURE GENERATIONS OF MEMBERS ALIKE.”
